About The Airport

Charles de Gaulle is France's largest international airport and has 3 terminals. Many travelers find the layout rather confusing to navigate, but it does have lots of great facilities. Terminal 2-M came 8th place in the Skytrax customer-led awards for the 'World's Best Airport Terminal' in 2018.

Getting to and from the airport

CDG Airport is 25km from central Paris.

Taxi - licensed metered taxis operate from outside the Baggage Claim area exits of Terminals 1, 2 and 3. They can be identified by their illuminated roof signs. You're strongly advised not to accept rides from people who approach you in the airport.

Bus - the RoissyBus connects CDG with Paris Opera Metro station - it stops at all 3 terminals. Numerous other buses also serve the airport, offering connections to the surrounding region.

Trains - the RER B regional rapid transit line has stations between Terminals 1 and 3 and south of Terminal 2. Trains run every 10-15 minutes to downtown Paris. There's also a TGV (high-speed train) station by Terminal 2, offering direct long-distance services across France. You'll find a couple of convenience stores and coffee kiosks in the station on level 2.

Hotel shuttle - many nearby hotels can be reached by free bus shuttle or on the CDGVAL free automatic metro that serves the airport grounds.

Car rental - car rental agencies are in Terminals 1 and 2.

Healthy Travel Tip

Airplane environments are dry, so it's important to stay hydrated when you fly. According to the Aerospace Medical Association, you should drink about eight fluid ounces of water each hour you're in the air.

We do our best to keep these guides as up-to-date as possible, but cannot guarantee that they fully reflect the current state of every airport, where changes can happen frequently and without notice. Please contact us with any feedback.
