Bus - NYC Airporter is an express bus service between JFK Airport, Grand Central Station, Penn Station and the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Tickets can be bought online, at the Ground Transportation Welcome Center or from outside Baggage Claim. The bus serves all JFK terminals.
Train - the AirTrain elevated railway serves all JFK's terminals and parking lots, linking them with both the Long Island Rail Road and the subway lines in Queens. It runs 24/7 and is wheelchair-accessible. Travel is free of charge within the airport grounds and to Federal Circle Station. If you're going further, you'll need to get a Metro Card from a vending machine or information point. Children under 5 ride free.
Hotel shuttle - free shuttles are available for guests of many nearby hotels including the Hampton Inn, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Express. To catch a shuttle, you need to take the AirTrain to Federal Circle station, where you can order one from a courtesy phone.
Car rental - car rental desks or phones are near Baggage Claim in all terminals. To pick up your vehicle, take the AirTrain to Federal Circle Station. No charge is made for this journey. If you need to get gas, an Airport Plaza can be found on the corner of 147th Street and 150th Avenue; it offers different types of fuel including electric charging and also has a food court.
