You can also find all the well-known fast food names, if you're feeling less adventurous. Ah Hung's Delicacies in the Sky Plaza has a Michelin star and is well reviewed by travelers.

The Sky Plaza mall has more than 80 stores to browse through. Lacoste and Elle travel accessories are among the big names you'll find here, along with high-street fashion labels like G2000 and Giordano. There are several toy stores for the kids, including Hong Kong Disneyland, and you can even find a traditional Chinese medicine stand.

Terminal tips

If you have some time to kill, the IMAX Cinema has the largest giant screen in Hong Kong and the theatre can seat up to 350 people.

It's located by the food court on level 6 in the public area.

Plane enthusiasts can take a wander around the Aviation Discovery Centre (by the food court on level 6).

You can also access the rooftop Skydeck from here, to get some fantastic views of landings.

Take the kids to the Dream Come True Education Park on level 6 for some fun exploration of different professions.

The role-playing activities will allow them to imagine what they could be when they grow up, including a pilot, a firefighter or a astronaut.
