About The Airport

This small international airport serves Ireland's capital city. It has 2 terminals, with Terminal 1 hosting mainly short-haul flights.

Free unlimited Wi-Fi is available at Dublin Airport. There's no sign-up or registration process.

The airport is 10km north of downtown Dublin.

Taxi - metered taxis are available directly outside Terminals 1 and 2. A taxi dispatcher will provide help if you need it.

Bus - the airport is served by both city and longer-distance bus operators. The Airlink Express will take you directly to downtown Dublin, while Bus Éireann operates direct daily coach services from the airport to destinations around Ireland.

Hotel shuttle - a number of nearby hotels provide courtesy shuttle services to and from the airport, including the Maldron Hotel Dublin Airport, the Radisson Blu Hotel Dublin Airport and the Carlton Hotel. Some of these are also within walking distance of the airport.

Car rental - car rental agencies are in the Terminal 1 Arrivals Hall and Terminal 2 multistory parking lot. Usually you will have to get a shuttle bus to collect your car.

The airport offers a wide range of parking options to suit all budgets. Free 24-hour shuttle buses connect the terminals with the long-term parking lots.

The 2 terminals are connected and walkable.

There are no in-airport hotels.

There's a family lane through Departures wide enough to fit a buggy.

Look out for signs with pictures of a buggy on them.

Depending on your flight, there may be a long walk or bus ride involved to reach the Customs area after you land.

Those with mobility issues should take this into consideration when planning their trips.

Dublin International is one of the only airports in Europe that offers US Preclearance.

This facility allows all US-bound passengers to complete the standard Immigration checks before departing, meaning that you can proceed straight to Baggage Claim once you arrive in the country.

Healthy Travel Tip

If you're going on a long-haul flight, change your watch and the time on your devices to the destination time zone as soon as you board the plane. It'll help minimize jet lag.
