The award winning Barcelona El Prat International airport is the second largest airport in Spain and is what’s referred to as a ‘silent’ airport, where public announcements are kept to a minimum, thereby creating a calmer airport environment.

Barcelona Terminal 1 offers a variety of dining options, ranging from formal dining, tapas bars, gastro bars and hamburger restaurants to specialty ice cream parlours and coffee shops. With over 30 purveyors of food and beverages, you will find what your taste buds crave while visiting Barcelona Terminal 1.

Shopping is an enjoyable pass time at Barcelona Terminal 1, with duty free shopping available from over 50 stores, kiosks and newsstands located in Terminal 1's Sky Centre. Brands include Burberry, Adidas, Mango, Massimo Dutti, Swarovski and Zara to name only a few.

About Our Lounges At Barcelona Terminal 1

The Premium VIP Lounge is one of the favourite Barcelona Terminal 1 lounges because of the bright and spacious design, generous seating and extensive amenities it offers. This air conditioned lounge in terminal 1 also offers you free wi-fi, television, the latest newspapers and magazines, as well as ample flight information screens. Or you may choose to use the shower, telephone or conferencing facilities while visiting this terminal 1 lounge. The lounge is a non-smoking area and is open daily between 7am and 10pm. The Premium VIP Lounge Barcelona Terminal 1 proudly welcomes guests with disabilities.

Sala VIP Colomer Lounge is a calm haven from the busy Barcelona airport, offering a contemporary and modern environment to enjoy while considering the wide selection of refreshments and beverages on offer, as free wi-fi, television, newspapers and magazines divert your attention. Be sure to keep an eye on the flight information screens, to avoid missing your flight. If work is occupying your mind, this terminal 1 lounge offers work stations, telephone and fax facilities. This fully air conditioned, non-smoking lounge, is open daily between 6am and 9pm, and is able to welcome guests with disabilities to enjoy the facilities.

Visiting the Sala VIP Pau Casals Lounge in Barcelona Terminal 1 is an experience in its own right. A hot shower may be just what you need to prepare for your flight. Whichever you choose, you will be comfortable in this fully air conditioned, non-smoking lounge which is open daily from 6am to 9pm. Location And Accessibility

The Premium VIP Lounge is located on the landside of Barcelona Terminal 1. From the Arrivals Hall you should follow signs for the Business Center and the lounge is located in the same area as the Air Shuttle/Air Bridge Barcelona-Madrid.

Sala VIP Colomer Lounge is located on the airside of terminal 1, at the Barcelona-Madrid Shuttle Area. After passing through Security Checks, turn left and proceed to the end of the corridor towards T1 Barcelona-Madrid Shuttle flights only.

Sala VIP Pau Casals Lounge is located on the airside of terminal 1. After passing through the Security Checks, proceed down the stairs to the Sky Center and turn right. Follow VIP signs and take the stairs or lift up to the lounge. Schengen & domestic Terminal 1 flights only.

Sala VIP Miro Lounge is located on the airside of the terminal. After passing through the Passport Control and Security Checks area, heading towards Gate D, take the first set of stairs in front of Burger King (or elevator) down to the lounge and follow the VIP signs. Intercontinental Non-Schengen. Terminal 1 flights only.


You'll find 2 cafés in Arrivals, handy for waiting if you're expecting guests or if you need to fuel up before leaving the airport.

There's an electronics store, a travel accessories shop, a newsstand and a gift shop in Arrivals.

2. Who can use the lounges at Barcelona Terminal 1 ?
Priority Pass cardholders and registered guests visiting Barcelona Terminal 1 are welcome at the Barcelona Terminal 1 lounges. Regardless of the class of ticket (economy/business/first), all domestic travellers, business or leisure, can access our Barcelona Terminal 1 lounges through Priority Pass.

Guests in smart casual dress are welcome to enter the Priority Pass lounges at Barcelona Terminal 1 .

4. Can I smoke in the lounge areas?
Airport regulations prevent smoking outside of designated smoking areas located conveniently across Barcelona Terminal 1 . We invite our guests to avail these facilities. .

5. How long can I stay in the lounges at Barcelona Terminal 1?
You can access the Premium VIP Lounge up to four hours before departure, while the Sala VIP Colomer, Sala VIP Pau Casals and the Sala VIP Miro lounges can be accessed up to three hours before departure.
