About The Airport

Luxury boutique shopping, elegant architecture, a 4-star hotel and a fitness center complete with swimming pool all feature at Hamad International Airport. The airport, which opened in 2014, has 1 terminal that's divided into 5 concourses, A-E. This fast-growing regional hub came 5th in a 2018 Skytrax ranking of the world's best airports and was voted the 7th best airport in the world by Condé Nast Traveller readers in 2017.

Getting to and from the airport

Hamad International Airport is 8km from downtown Doha.

Taxi - taxis are available from the taxi pavilion at the end of the Arrivals hall. They are metered and only accept payment in Qatari Riyals (there are ATMs near the taxi pavilion). The Alijarah Pink Limousine service offers women-only drivers. To book, call (+974) 800 4488. To order a taxi for passengers with reduced mobility, call (+974) 4458 8888 providing as much advance notice as possible.

Bus - several buses run between the airport and different destinations in the city. Follow the signs to the bus pavilion from the Arrivals hall.

Car rental - car rental desks are in the Arrivals hall.
