About The Airport

Toronto Pearson - named for former Canadian Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson - is Canada's largest and busiest airport. It has 2 passenger terminals currently in use - Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. In Terminal 1 the D Gates are used for national flights, the E Gates are for those flying internationally and the F Gates are for US-bound flights only.

Free Wi-Fi is available in both terminals.

Pearson Airport is 23km from downtown Toronto.

Taxi - licensed taxis can be found at Terminal 1 (Doors C & D), Terminal 3 Domestic Arrivals (Door B) and Terminal 3 International Arrivals (Door F). You're strongly advised not to accept rides from people who approach you in the terminal.

Bus - Pearson Airport is served by the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) and local bus routes. The stops are at Terminal 1 (Ground Level, 2nd curb) and Terminal 3 (Arrivals, 3rd curb). Buses also run from the airport to North York, Bramalea and Mississauga.

Train - the Union Pearson Express runs between the airport and Union Station in downtown Toronto. Trains leave every 15 minutes from 05:30 to 01:00. The journey takes 25 minutes..

Hotel Shuttle - free shuttle buses run every 30 minutes to some of the nearby hotels, including Hampton Inn & Suites and Four Points by Sheraton Toronto Airport. They run from the Ground level - Door S at Terminal 1 and Doors A & G at Terminal 3.

Car rental - desks are at Level 1 of the parking garages next to Terminals 1 and 3.

A wide range of parking facilities are available at the airport. You can also book a Car Care appointment, and there are 10 electric vehicle charging stations. You can reserve online and get a discount. Valet Care parking is available at Terminal 3.

The 24-hour Terminal Link train shuttles travelers between Terminals 1 and 3, the Value Park Lot and the Value Park Garage, with departures every 4-8 minutes. It takes only a few minutes to transfer between terminals.

The Sheraton Gateway Hotel is connected to Terminal 3 by a walkway. Facilities include a gym, pool and sauna.

Airport Expert

It can be a long walk to Immigration when your flight lands and lines are often slow-moving, so be prepared and wear comfortable shoes.

Previous travelers have also mentioned long distances between restrooms. If travelling with young children, be aware that airport strollers are not available, so you'll need to check your stroller into your flight.

For those travelling internationally, you can place an order up to 30 days in advance, which will be ready to pick-up 2 hours before your flight.

Be sure to leave plenty of time between connections if you are transiting through Toronto Airport, as security checks can often be quite lengthy.
