Getting to and from the airport
The airport is 35km from Rome's historic city center.
Taxi - official city taxis are white with the licence number on the doors. Flat-rate fares are available to and from the airport, including baggage for up to 4 travelers.
Bus - plenty of buses run between central Rome and the airport. The bus hub is next to Terminal 3 Arrivals. The Terravision Shuttle Bus runs between the airport and Rome Termini station. The journey takes about 70 minutes.
Train - 3 rail services connect Fiumicino Airport with downtown Rome. The Leonardo Express, which is the fastest route to the center of Rome, runs non-stop to Rome Termini station with services every 30 minutes. The FM1 links the airport with Roma Tiburtina, Fara Sabina, Poggio Mirteto and Orte. It doesn't stop at Rome Termini, but you can get off at Tiburtina Station or Ostiense Station to connect to the Rome Metro. When travelling by train in Italy, remember to always get your ticket stamped in a yellow validation machine before using it.
Hotel shuttle - airport shuttle buses, some free, take guests to nearby hotels including the Best Western, the Hilton Garden Inn Rome Airport and the upmarket QC Termeroma hotel, which is located in the Oasi di Porto nature reserve and offers wellness packages.
Car rental - the car rentals area is in Torre Uffici 2 in the multistory Comfort Parking building. It's is linked to the terminals by pedestrian tunnels. You can also rent a car with a driver.

Transit and in-airport hotels
A free shuttle bus travels between the terminals every 15 minutes. Between 01:00 and 04:00 it must be requested by intercom from the bus stop.
The Hilton Rome Airport is connected to the upper level of Terminals 1 and 3 by a covered moving walkway.
