About The Airport

With 3 terminals, Manchester is the UK's third busiest airport and the largest airport outside of London. Its central location means it is within a two-hour travel time of one third of the country's population. Getting to and from the airport

The airport is 15.6km from Manchester city center.

Taxi - there are taxi ranks by Arrivals at all terminals.

Bus - buses run to Manchester city center from the bus and coach interchange at the airport.

Trains - trains run to Manchester Piccadilly from the airport station between Terminals 1 and 2. The Metrolink tram service, next to the train platform, runs to Cornbrook.

Car rental - courtesy buses go to the airport's Car Rental Village every 10 minutes. The village is open 24 hours, but rental operators' hours may vary.

Parking

Short-stay parking is at the multistory lots next to the terminals. Meet and Greet valet parking is available for all terminals, with options for car cleaning and fast-track services that can be booked on the airport website. Blue Badge parking is also available at all terminals, and there is a budget long-stay option called JetParks. A shuttle bus goes from long-stay parking to the terminals.

Transit and in-airport hotels

There's a moving walkway between Terminals 1 and 2 which takes around 15 minutes. To get between Terminals 1 and 3 there's an external walkway, which takes 5 minutes.

The 5-star Radisson Blu hotel has access to all terminals via a covered walkway, and offers a shower and change / leisure facilities for a fee. It takes just 5 minutes to get to Terminal 2.
