About The Airport

With 18 million passengers a year, Málaga Airport is the gateway to the popular Costa del Sol. It has 2 terminals.

Wi-Fi

Free, unlimited Wi-Fi is available, but it's been criticised for being slow or not working at all. Portable Wi-Fi routers can be rented from the desk just after baggage reclaim near the Arrivals hall. Alternatively, if you need a space to relax or work, there's Wi-Fi available in our lounge.

Getting to and from the airport

The airport is 8km from Málaga city centre, 8km from Torremolinos and 52km from Marbella.

Taxi - the taxi rank is outside the Arrivals hall. Queues are often long in high season, so at those times you might be better off booking a private transfer.

Bus - buses go to Marbella, Estepona, Algeciras, Málaga City, Granada, Seville, Torremolinos and other destinations from the airport.

Train - trains running between Málaga's Maria Zambrano station and Fuengirola stop at the airport. It takes 12 minutes to get to Málaga City and 10 minutes to get to Torremolinos.

Hotel shuttle - private minibuses and shared coaches stop at many hotels in Málaga City and on the Costa del Sol. You'll need to contact your hotel and reserve before you travel.

Car rental - car hire offices are between baggage reclaim carousels 28 and 31.

Parking

Cars dropping passengers off at the airport can stop outside very briefly. Otherwise, express, short-term and long-term parking are available, as well as VIP parking where your vehicle is collected and delivered to the door of the terminal.

Transit and in-airport hotels

Terminals 2 and 3 are connected and form one huge area in the same building, so getting from one terminal to another is simple.

There are no in-airport hotels.
