About The Airport

Barcelona Airport is both Spain's second largest and second busiest airport. Terminal 1 is modern, making it easy to find your way around. While Terminal 2 is mainly for low-cost airlines, it still has decent facilities.

Getting to and from the airport

The airport is 14km from Barcelona city center.

Taxi - the stands are outside Arrivals at both terminals.

Bus - the Aerobus A1 and A2 connects both airport terminals to various points across the city center.

Train - the L9 Sud metro line stops at both terminals. A commuter train also runs from the airport to Barcelona and other parts of Catalonia.

Hotel shuttle - free shuttle buses serve many nearby hotels including the TRYP Barcelona Aeropuerto, Barcelona Airport Hotel and Best Western Hotel Alfa Aeropuerto.

Car rental - car rental firms have desks in both terminals.

Parking

The airport has a wide range of parking options, some with direct access to the terminal buildings, and others that are a few minutes away by the free shuttle bus service.

Transit and in-airport hotels

A free 24-hour shuttle bus service runs between the terminals every 5-10 minutes - the journey takes roughly 15 minutes.

Air Rooms has 9 rooms and 1 suite on the 1st floor of Terminal 1.
