About The Airport

Vienna Schwechat, Austria's main international airport, has 2 operational passenger terminals: Terminal 1 with its satellite 1A, and Terminal 3, which also hosts the central Arrivals hall for all flights. Terminal 2 is currently closed. Customers voted this airport into 8th place in the Skytrax World's Best Airport Dining Experience 2018.

Getting to and from the airport

The airport is 18km from downtown Vienna and 57km from the Slovak capital Bratislava.

Taxi - taxis and limousines are available outside the Arrivals hall.

Bus - Vienna Airport Lines runs 24-hour bus services between the airport and downtown Vienna. Long-distance coaches also operate from the airport to destinations in Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

Train - a non-stop train operates from around 05:30 to 23:30 between the airport and Wien Mitte Station in downtown Vienna. Alternatively, suburban S-Bahn trains connect the airport with destinations across Vienna.

Hotel shuttle - airport shuttles are available to and from a number of hotels including the EuroHotel Airport Vienna, the Arion Hotel and the Hotel Deininger. Some hotels charge for this service.

Car rental - rental desks are on Level 0 of multistory parking lot P4.

Parking

There are several parking lots to choose from, depending on your budget and the length of your stay. Premium parking in lot P4, level 1, is close to the terminal and offers extra-large spaces. Most parking lots have covered walkways to the terminals.

Transit and in-airport hotels

Terminals 1, 2 and 3 are all in the same airport building, while Terminal 1A is a satellite just 20 meters from Terminal 1.

There are no hotels inside the airport, however the NH Vienna Airport Conference Center hotel is located just outside of the Arrivals area. Some of the facilities here include a spa and a fitness suite.
