About The Airport

Moscow Vnukovo International is the airport closest to Moscow's city center. It has 3 passenger terminals, as well as a VIP terminal which is often used by high-ranking officials. Terminal A is for international flights, Terminal B is for domestic flights and Terminal D is only used for domestic arrivals from the North Caucasus.

Getting to and from the airport

Vnukovo is 28km from Moscow.

Taxi - taxi booking is available in terminals A and B. Travelers are strongly advised to book a taxi from these counters rather than using an unofficial taxi.

Bus - buses depart for the Yugo-Zapadnaya Metro station every 10-12 minutes, between the hours of 05.00 and 01.00.

Trains - the Aeroexpress runs non-stop from Vnukovo to Kievskly railway terminal in central Moscow. Travel time is 35-40 minutes. You can reach the station via the Arrivals hall at Terminal A. Trains run from 06.00 to 00.00.

Hotel shuttle - the Antis House Uninn, Hotel Salut, Imperial Park Hotel & Spa and Vnukovo Green Palace Hotel all offer shuttle services. Inquire about shuttle services at your hotel.


Car rental - car hire desks are in Terminal D Arrivals.

Parking

The airport has 2 multistory parking lots as well as other car parks nearby. Long and short-stay parking are available, and the first 15 minutes of the first hour are free.

Transit and in-airport hotels

The terminals are next to each other and are linked by covered walkways. There is also a shuttle service to transfer passengers between terminals. Passengers must buy a ticket.

The Double Tree by Hilton is at the main entrance to Terminal A and is connected to the airport via an underground tunnel.

Healthy Travel Tip

Avoid drinking tap water in Russia - bottled water is widely available. Ask for drinks without ice, and opt for cooked meals instead of salads that may have been washed using tap water.
