Restaurants and snack bars serving both Vietnamese and international dishes can be found around the terminal, along with some western fast food chains, a bakery and coffee shops. Travelers report that the 'Well Wishers level' on the 3rd floor has the best eating options. The choice is more limited after Security.
Shopping is fairly basic, with a few stores selling travel essentials, electronic items, handicrafts and Vietnamese snacks. After Security you'll find duty-free stores offering branded cosmetics and liquor. There are also kiosks selling products from some premium brands such as D&G, Hermes and Swatch.

Getting a local SIM card will save you money but eat into your valuable time; you can pick one up from a kiosk in Arrivals as you exit.
There are some reports that when Departures gets busy, the air conditioning doesn't keep the area very cool.
A small hand fan, electric or manual, might be useful if you don't enjoy the heat.
There is no pharmacy in this terminal, so don't forget any healthcare items and medicine that you may need.
