If Ryanair gets its way, you may need to ensure that you use the facilities in the airport lounge before take-off, as the amount of restrooms on its planes could be reduced.

CEO Michael O'Leary claims that the existing three toilets on its 737s aren't used to capacity, so he's in talks with Boeing about losing two of the facilities and installing six extra seats instead, which could bring down ticket prices by five per cent.

Surprisingly, there are no rules about their having to be a certain amount of toilets per number of passengers, so if Ryanair were to go through with the move, they wouldn't be breaking any aviation laws.

And whilst it wouldn't be a hardship on short-haul flights, if you're planning on a longer trip, make sure you don't fill up on drinks make sure you use the restroom at the airport lounge beforehand, otherwise you may face a queue on-board.
