1. With my job I never know where I’m going next. Where have you got lounges?
Worldwide. We offer over 500 lounges, literally from Aberdeen to Zurich and at over 300 airports in between. Click here to search for lounges at any particular airport.
2. What can I expect from a lounge?
Peace. Space. Comfort. The chance to relax before the flight. Or if you wish you can use the lounge business facilities to catch up on work and stay in touch with the office. Or why not do a bit of both?
3. Sounds too good to be true. What’s the catch?
There isn’t one – that’s why we have over 1,500,000 satisfied members. You can access our lounges regardless of who you’re flying with – scheduled or low cost, what class of ticket you have or whether you’re flying for business or pleasure.
4. So how does it work?
We’ve got three membership plans – just choose the one that’s right for you. We’ll then send you your membership card - just show this when you arrive at the lounge. There’s no need to book, pre-pay or pay on the day. And you can even invite guests to join you.
5. I normally travel business class anyway so why would Priority Pass be of use to me?
Although most of the major airlines will have their own lounge facilities at many of their destinations, this is not always guaranteed. And it is usually at the less popular destinations where an airline lounge does not exist that you need one most! Priority Pass is a great back-up in such circumstances.
6. My membership of Frequent Flyer programs gets me into lounges so why do I need Priority Pass?
As membership of Frequent Flyer programs continues to grow, many airlines are becoming more restrictive with lounge access. And remember it's not always possible to fly with your preferred airline. Priority Pass lounges don't have such restrictions and it doesn't matter which airline you are flying with.
7. What if I am traveling with a colleague who isn't a member of Priority Pass?
You can invite friends or guests to join you in the lounges. Most lounges will allow any number of guests but where there are limits, details are shown in the Lounge Directory and on the lounge search.
8. Can I use lounges even when I’m not traveling on business?
Of course. But if you are traveling with your family, please note that some lounges, particularly in the UK, do not allow access for children under 12 years of age.
9. Is company membership of Priority Pass available?
Yes, we offer discounts for multiple memberships within the same company, starting from just 10 members. To find out more, complete your details here.
10. Can I join Priority Pass and simply pay the lounges when I use them?
No - it is much easier than that! Priority Pass is designed so travelers don't have to worry about payments whilst they are away. Simply present your Priority Pass membership card when you enter the lounge and the lounge visit fee will be charged directly to your nominated payment card at a later date.
11. Can I use the lounges irrespective of the airline I am flying with?
Yes. All lounges listed in our Directory are open to all members, irrespective of the airline you fly with.
12. Will there be more lounges joining Priority Pass in the future?
All Priority Pass offices worldwide are negotiating at a local level to bring new lounges on board and the numbers are constantly growing.
13. How do I know where the lounges are located?
When you join, you will receive a comprehensive Lounge Directory detailing exactly how to find each lounge with a full list of all the facilities in the lounge and opening hours. Regular updates are also sent out to members. Here on the website, lounge information is updated daily and the lounge search will locate lounges for you in seconds.
14. Can I obtain lounge information in any other format?
Yes. There is a choice of formats available. You can download it from this site to a Palm handheld computer or Pocket PC (Windows CE) - or download to your desktop or notebook in PDF format.
15. How long can I expect to wait for my membership card?
Once we receive your application you can expect to receive your membership kit within 10-14 business days, depending on your country of residence. As lounge access is by Membership card only it is important that you allow sufficient time to receive your Membership card prior to your travel departure date.
16. What happens if I don't have my Priority Pass card with me and I want to visit a lounge?
Unfortunately unless you can produce your membership card the lounge staff will not be able to give you access. It is therefore important to always carry your Priority Pass membership card with you.
17. Are the lounges run by Priority Pass?
No, we leave that to the experts! Priority Pass has contracts with lounges that are run by the airport authorities, ground handling agents and the airlines themselves.
18. When I am in the lounge will the lounge staff provide flight information?
No, Although some lounges do have flight information monitors, not all lounges have this facility. As Lounges have no contractual obligation to Priority Pass members to announce flights it is the member's sole responsibility to remain aware of flight time and boarding information.
19. Are there any other benefits to membership other than lounge access?
Yes. We have negotiated additional benefits with other companies including hotel and car rental discounts, low cost trip insurance and a travel planning tool.
20. How do I access the hotel and car rental discounts?
Log-in to the members section of this site. You'll then be able to book online at over 50,000 hotels worldwide and save up to 30% on your room rate. Car rental online reservations are available too with savings of up to 30% from Hertz, Avis and National Car Rental.
